The Laszlo Fischer Foundation is committed to making our community a safe, healthy and loving place for all children. It is estimated that 1 in 7 children in the US has experienced child abuse and/or neglect in the past year. Rates of child abuse and neglect are 5 times higher for children in families with low socio-economic status compared to children in families with higher socio-economic status. In 2018, 62% of children placed in foster care were removed from their homes due to abusive neglect, totaling over 160,000 children. The Laszlo Fischer Foundation has made it a priority to work with agencies and organizations that are directly meeting the needs of children in our community. As we move forward, we look forward to sharing the list of partners we are working with as well as success stories from the children that have been helped.
