Laszlo’s Caring Kitchen was started in honor of my father (Laszlo Fischer) to help with families and seniors dealing with financial and food insecurities. We provide FREE fresh kosher meals on Shabbat to those in need in our community. With the help of volunteers, we cook all the food in house (Under strict rabbinical supervision) and deliver them prior to shabbat. The fresh meals are rotating on a weekly basis and include Freshly cooked Proteins (Chicken, Beef, Turkey, Salmon, Tilapia and/or other proteins), Vegetables, Starches, Challah Rolls and Kedem Grape Juice. We have fed over the last year thousands of families and the program continues to grow with waiting lists that are endless.
Our meals help these families and seniors to not have concerns or cares around the purchasing and preparing of shabbat and allows them to focus on spiritual matters. Taking away the stress around not being able to provide kosher shabbat meals for themselves and their families is our main priority.
We ask our communities to help and sponsor an individual, a family, a week, a month, a year or more. For $18, you can provide a shabbat meal for one person and for $72, you can provide that same person a shabbat meal for each week of the month. For $180, we can provide ten people fresh kosher shabbat meals and for $360, we can provide twenty people fresh kosher shabbat meals.
